Creating Momentum To Finish Strong

Hello Dreamscape Explorers!

Can you believe we have just two months left in 2026?!? Crazy how quick time moves the last quarter of the year. Sorry I missed you guys last month but I needed a little break and to take a couple things off my plate, as I was feeling very overwhelmed. Allowing myself to take a little break has given me the energy to finish the year strong. Which is perfect because this month is art packed.

Starting off strong the 3rd-4th I will be in Houston at Sharespace Navigation with Catalyst Studios x Westborn Collectives for their ORIGINALITY: Influence vs. Imagination showcase. Then the 14th-15th and 21st-22nd will be the East studio tours. My Primary space will be with Almost Real Things at 2324 Studios. But I will also have work up in a group showcase with Of Color at Raasin In The Sun’s new HQ at Seabrook Square during both weekends as well. I will physically be at Raasin In The Suns HQ for a panel discussion on Sunday afternoon. The exact time is still pending so keep an eye on my instagram for time updates for the panel event.

And speaking of instagram, there are some changes that will be happening with my meta platforms in response to their new policy updates. With Meta now changing their policies to allow AI to crawl and steal anything that is on their platforms I have to make changes to protect my life's work and intellectual property. I will no longer be sharing new works on those platforms. And instead will be sharing those pieces of my creative process here, and on my Youtube Channel. While I would love to not keep these predatory platforms, realistically I can't just delete them. Many applications for shows, residencies, and even grants ask for our social media platforms as part of their application process. And quite frankly I have worked hard on growing my platform to the size I have, and have made so many beautiful connections through them too. So my pages will stay up for new people to find me, and so those who enjoy or feel something from my work can still experience them and find out where to see them in person too. Unfortunately there is no way to protect my art from all AI but for now this is my plan with social media. The positive outcome of this incredibly frustrating landscape is that I will be finding new ways to connect with community and get really creative with Guerilla marketing. So keep and eye out for those goodies to come.

Oh! One of those goodies I can mention now is that I’m doing a raffle again this year. With how successful last year's raffle went and how well it was received I wanted to do it again. The piece being raffled is Serenity, an original piece of Phantasmal. The Raffle will be held both weekends of the East studio tours at my 2324 studio location. Each raffle ticket is $25 and includes an exclusive print, and one ticket into the drawing for Serenity. With a ticket limit of two. And just for you guys the raffle will be open during the two weeks of the studio tours starting the 9th and ending the 22nd. The morning of the 9th I will send out a link for you to get your raffle tickets throughout the extended window of time. I hope you like this year's raffle piece, and the exclusive print!

Welp! I think that's it for this month's newsletter. I hope you all had a great October, and a fun Halloween. As always I’m so grateful for you all and appreciate more than you know.

Til next time.

Bye<3
