Finally Back After Finding My Vim
HELLO! I hope you all had a good September, and that the start of October is treating you well too. September was an interesting month for me, some good moments and some low moments. I started the month off strong. After getting to spend time with my oldest friend, energized and motivated I thought I’d continue that momentum throughout the month but that is not what happened. Soon after that trip I was hit hard with a depressive episode. My mental health plummeted and quickly. Just doing the bare minimum was hard and I had to do more than the minimum. A lot more.
One of those big things was my practical exam to get my license to be a nail technician. and I PASSED! I am officially a licensed nail tech and I’ll be working at the spa Milk and Honey. I also had my group showcase for the EAL program. And successfully created and finished 5 new paintings and 7 press on nails set that correspond with each painting as well. The turn out was great and I am incredibly grateful to all who attended.
These moments were welcomed highlights during a rough time. Luckily I am finally feeling like myself again and back to creating. And wanting to share those creations. The next shows won't be until next month for the Studio Tour. I will be at two locations for this, so there is more than one opportunity to see my work. The 11/8-11/9 and 11/15-11/16 I'll be at Bolm Art Gallery. My work will be up both weekends there but I’ll only physically be there 11/8- 11/9. Well I think that's it for this post… Oh! I am thinking about possibly adding some kind of special treat for those of you who keep up with me here or those who get my newsletter. I’m not sure what that would be yet but I’m thinking maybe a special sticker, print, or maybe some kind of secret release that comes through you guys first. What do you think?
